The cruise director, this is the person that is supposed to walk around the ship on a daily bases and converse with the passengers to make sure their sailing experience is a good one and make sure there are enough fun activities to keep passengers busy and having fun, was never seen. He had lobster. The Whale watching here was unbelievably good - we had 30-40 sightings, plus sea lions and porpoise. This deck is right below the Lido deck which has the pool and the main Lido buffet restaurant. After we boarded our ship, the Pearl, we headed to Victoria, British Columbia, CA. It was totally worth it, because there is nothing in the world like waking up in the morning, calling for room service (always free) for coffee and pastries, then sitting on the veranda looking at the never-ending incredible views. Bags are picked up each morning as well so no bag drags across hotels. But the last night as we headed North towards our debarkation at Seward was in the Alaska Gulf and it was windy, wavy and rainy that night.

We saw a TON of things in this 2 weeks though. There were lots of activities, mostly geared towards couples. We stayed in Anchorage two days on our own and The Lakefront was able to accommodate us one of those days. Just pay for it.

Also, I was informed that the spa credit did not apply to the special anyway since the special was already discounted. It is a personal relationship with the crew and your shipmates.

Dining My 17.5 year old had an amazing time. The last day we booked a fishing trip with Regal Air. It is for the older crowd like middle age to seniors. * (I don't miss those days!) In reality, it looks as though the whole Mickey Mouse Club got seasick and threw up on the ship. We were worried that there'd be noise from this deck but it wasn't a problem.

One day they had a salmon bake by the pool.

We spent a lot of time on the balcony admiring the scenery. We played bingo, gambled a bit in the casino.

Everything was really nice. We did not have any time for touring in Vancouver. In Victoria we didn't do an excursion. The land tour was wonderful and I would highly recommend this. We chose Noordam as it was about the only sailing which worked with our commitments and the itinerary was good, taking us where we wanted to visit.

The buffets were okay but we aren't big on buffets.

There was an ice cream car sometimes.

A walker was reserved for my friend and I was told to pick it up at the kiosk in the terminal. Nope.

This was our third cruise on NCL and our seventh overall.

We have solely cruised Disney (4 times) and we couldn't do Alaska without at least one more time. Before each show they sell lottery and raffle tickets.

Madonna was amazing!!!! This did save us some money. One practitioner (Cherry) was outstanding- the others we had were average or below. Ports & Excursions Entertainment was fairly typical. Their idea of a tea is a buffet of desserts from the Lido and a few savory items.

There were moose, bear, porcupines, wolves, caribou, etc. Yes, you read that right, there is a tub to soak in.

But wait! Each port was very close to the down town port city except for Victoria.

I really believe one of the best things about the UNCRUISE experinence is the crew. We have been on cruises in the past where there was always something to do, and there really wasn't much on this one that we were interested in.

We really thought this was an excellent trip.

It was quiet. The steward cleans every day and brings fresh towels, including an adorable animal sculpture made out of towels.
