February 1944 – January 2017 Your loss is terrible and you will truly be missed. I can say that it's very well thought out book about drums and deserved to be titled as such.

Other than that, I found every other chapter very interesting and enlightening. Usually you would get this info by reading drum magazines for years, studying with a teacher, hanging out with other drummers, chatting on forums, etc.

I came across this book and took a look at its table of contents and thought "Oh, just the basic information about drums I'm sure I'll find in any other general drum info book"... WRONG!

It's *jam packed* with detailed info about drums, hardware, sticks, heads, tuning, etc.

Rockschool was a television series aired by the BBC and PBS on 1 November 1983. I am sorry that there weren't more pages, quite honestly. The series explored the history of rock music and gave instruction in popular performance techniques. This is an amazing resource for drummers to learn about the tools of their trade.
