Historic Jamestowne seen from the James River Ferry If I only have half day, which one should I go with 2 young kids?Young kids would probably get more out of the experience with the replicas and re-enactments at Older kids and adults would probably appreciate the actual historical site of Historic Jamestown is the actual site of the first permanent English settlement in the Both sites are amazing -- Historic Jamestown as the actual historic site and its incredible archeology and Jamestown Settlement for its abiliy to connect folks of all ages to the importance of our history -- and it would be ashame to have to pick one over the other.
