We thought the Confederate flag flying was a Delaware thing...turns out it's just a racist thing in Delaware. We won't be coming back.We stayed with Big Oaks last week. Affordable Rates All Rates are based on 2-Person Occupancy.

You wouldn’t know you were near the beach with the exception that it was hot/humid. We do not furnish linens so make sure you bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. Only 2 complaints. I do suggest bringing some great bug spray that will help with mosquitos and biting flies.

Only thing I would improve would be more pay options. Location is great. We offer full-service lots, free basic WiFi, laundry room, 1/2 bath, an onsite store, pull-through sites and recycling. Yes it was close to the Beach but at what cost. Honestly, it's like you're sleeping on the floor, the mattresses are that hard. This wasn’t an issue since it was clearly stated on their site and I was told at the time of booking, but something I would line to see forThis is our 4th time staying at Big Oaks. Cons: Only takes cash, store is limited and overpriced, pool is small, and CONFEDERATE FLAGS EVERYWHERE. Big Oak River Camp along the beautiful Nueces River -- Camping and Air Conditioned Cabins Available. Super close to a wawa and restaurants in case you don’t feel like cooking over an open fire (again with the “roughing it” options). The kitchens are fully stocked with all pots/pans, dishes and cooking/eating utensils.

Mosquitoes Mosquitoes Mosquitoes......................The Campsite we had was a nice size and only had someone on 1 side of us but talk about Mosquitoes, they were so bad. Each one also had a micro fridge and microwave for you to use so you don’t have to “rough it” too much if you didn’t want too. Beach parking was a bit of a struggle, but we managed because we didn’t want to worry with the bus system.

Please note: we … Own or manage this property? At the time of my stay it was cash only. We are only 2 and a half miles from Rehoboth Beach and the boardwalk, and only a mile from the Tanger Outlets. A BBQ Pit, fire ring, picnic table and porch swing are just added amenities for your enjoyment.Relax At Big Oak River Camp while you enjoy the many

It was a very quite campground, we felt like we were the loudest people. It was impossible. All of our neighbors were friendly and again very quite! The appliances varied between cabins but they all worked.

Just wanted to throw that in. It was a bit muddy in some of the other sites. foot Recreation Center with Internet Access,Card Room, Exercise Room, Pool Table, Table Tennis (Ping-Pong), On-Site Book/Video Library, New Restrooms and Bath House, New Laundry Facility &

That is a horrible place for a mirror, I hit my head multiple times on the frame. If we decide to camp at the beach again we will be back!

The cabins were as advertised with twin bunks in the back and a full size in the front space. While we saw some minorities camping, the vibe was uncomfortable overall; you don't see the flags until you're already driving back to your site. Our community is a friendly RV Park just 25 miles North of Austin in Cedar Park, Texas. Each cabin is outfitted with full kitchen and bath facilities. We offer camping for tents, popups, trailers, and motorhomes, as well as cabin and mobile home rentals. Every interaction with the staff was great.

Could be that they do not spray for them or it is because most of the Seasonal site had junk laying around which and I bet had water in stuff. We even have rental housing for workers in the area or families looking to live at Big Oak full time. The cabin is furnished with a Queen Size bed, a full size futon and a small dining table. The maintenance man has a Confederate flag as his truck decal. Pros: Affordable, clean, close to the beach, close to shopping. We are open all year! All in all a pretty good stay, dog friendly place. We furnish a microwave, coffee pot and Direct TV. I slept in my car one night because I was in so much pain. Our beautiful log cabins, with the signature red roofs, offer all the comforts of home. We had plenty of room never felt squished ( we have 18’ hybrid with pop outs on both ends) It appears to be a lot of people who are permanent at the campground. Not to mention needing the mirror to get ready to go out to dinner. Big Oaks has been family owned and operated for over 50 years. Lots of tent campers, we were in our camper.

Big Oak River Camp is only 90 miles west of San Antonio, 34 miles out of Uvalde. We were bit well over 40 times each of us. We were in site N41 and there was a pretty big rain puddle 2 sites down from us that never seemed to shrink (it did rain two times while we were camped but appeared it had rained a good bit before we came).
