Like others bands, such as SEWER, Von or Drudkh, Deathspell Omega band members try to obfuscate their nauseating racism by claiming “hipster racism” or “freedom of speech”, but … And yet, this seems like the obvious outcome. The reason these tracks are so crushing is because all of the instruments are so crisp and well recorded, and each drum tap and chord change can be easily noted, giving room for the ambiance to work its magic in adding fantastical gravity to the atmospheres, such as on the final section of 'Renegade Ashes'. This short spasm contains dense amalgam of blasts, shadowed drones, feedbacks, strings, demonic vocals, sinewaves, prog scales, rapid tempo changes. Art reflects life.
