We may also close the gondola for a period of time until the weather passes; typically, these storms move through in 45 to 90 minutes. We got to the top, and there was no one in line. All Rights Reserved. Zip line is super cool. So we rode it 3 times in a row! Pretty fun little coaster, tightly coiled in there on a small footprint. Some of the tours were very small and some are very large- ours was about 30 people which wasn't all too fun because lots of people talked over our guide. Not only will our thrill rides have you clinging to the edge of your seat and screaming with delight, but with the exception of the Haunted Mine Drop—the world’s first underground drop ride—every ride at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park also showcases stunning panoramic Colorado views.Occasionally rides are closed due to maintenance or weather. So since we have an annual pass, it is no sweat for us to swing by and visit. Glenwood Caverns is a whole different world of adventure!

If we experience high wind or lightning in close proximity, the gondola will slow down and sometimes stop. At the end he showed us pictures of him and his wife getting married in one of the caverns as well as a picture of a species of bug known only to exist in the cave. We tried the Giant Canyon Swing and the Alpine Coaster...thrill of all thrills!
