Not sure I'd come back after that experience.Chef/owner Stephen Rosenbluth of Anchor Down and Cardoon has done it again with his new restaurant Top Hat. Are they offering sit-down dining? How is this business operating during COVID-19? It took so long everyone else was finished eating. Think I'd be willing to try it again not as a large party. If you get a chance stop by you won't regret it.
Also got the Sausage Duo and the Spinach & Baby Artichoke Salad..The Sausages were in a plate with a wonderful mustard based sauce for dipping...it was terrific! The cold food and sad top hat eggs (I could have done better on my own) just put a little damper.Fitting that we tried this Creole Seafood establishment during Mardi Gras thanks to FT for the idea.I went here only once. We have 2 seatings times for large parties, please select one. The service was great. They were amazing! Stephen was there making sure all the diners were happy...and they were! Fleur de lis decorating the bar area.
We were greeted by Jennifer, Stephens wife who took the time to show us the improvements and layout. He was there for brunch, I was there for dinner and drinks.
I give them an A for effort and we all had a nice time. Our space is will transport you from Long Island to the French Quarter. We had 4 raw oysters which were awesomely shucked and very fresh. Loved the atmosphere, lite music in the background (Night Move). Just call us at 937-859-7677 or reserve your table online. The owner is… Click on the “Book Here” button above to make a reservation.
The food was so yummmmy.
Then we ordered the voodoo wings... ehhhh I didn't really enjoy those. Upon entering the newly painted murals signify NOLA with their streaming colors and vibrance. Food was amazing. We were seated and our attentive server Kathleen gave us a rundown on the evenings specials.
For the main course, I ordered the shrimp Gumbo. Just regular fried wings. Nowhere!
The guy behind the counter really knows his stuff and his wife does all the cooking and everything is to die for!
Given the size of the place I don't think the kitchen was fully equipped.
I thought i was going to experience some real Louisiana food, Cajun flavors, and spice but the food was just okay.
Man, we are so thankful for you and your support as a guest and friend.
Loved them. The service was also wonderful, everyone here is very friendly.
Our waiter was kind and attentive. We got to pick our seats as there was no one there. reservations for 1 to 10 guests.
Might I suggest reservations for the weekends.

We definitely come back to try their dinner dishes. When you walk in the door you meet Luke, He's totally fabulous!!!
Top Hat is a creole and cajun restaurant specializing in oysters, cajun cuisine and craft cocktails. I would recommend them. We had been there for the soft opening and wanted to try new things on the menu. We finished with the chocolate pecan cake which was great.
Apparently he spent some time in New Orleans and created a NO style restaurant complete with decor, music and of course food and drinks. Should you need to cancel your reservation, we ask that you please do so 48 hours prior to the time of your reservation to avoid losing the deposit. For parties of 16 or more, private or semi-private events, and buy-outs, email us to receive our large group dining information packet.
4 weeks ago . Meals came out based on what they were (eg- everyone who got shrimp and grits received theirs..10 min later everyone who got top hat eggs received their meal...and so on with the 3 other dishes).
The shrimp Gumbo was just okay. Yes, we take walk-ins! They served tiny spiced muffins which were nice but very dry.
