Do you still get enjoyment from the game? They saw loot boxes and added as reward for the matches and lately they saw games like pubg and decided to make a robocraft Royale. This game went from 20K concurrent players in 2014-2015 to 4K in 2018. weak devs and loud noobs happened. They saw Dota and lol and decided to make a clone, so the capture points was added as the main feature. Anti-Air Gun (Flak), Close range shotgun (IND), Lock on Missile Launcher (LOML), Auto-Lock SMG (Seeker).Roboshop now allows for any one to submit designs.
You'll just have to decide if the grind is worth it.I noticed my inventory seemed much smaller, all my different armor blocks were gone and I only had the basic ones. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castEverything concerning the game Robocraft, from development, to balance, making suggestions, organizing events, or even just posting the best bots people have made.Press J to jump to the feed. killed the game for the people that loved it because $$$.
You killed some bots, bought some weapons/wheels, then killed some stronger bots. I quit along with the majority of my crew after tiers were removed and crates were added. I was planning to get back into this game but everything great about it is gone IMO.Basically, your post summarizes how we all feel about the current game.
Now the lack of progression and random loot drops drives me away.I don’t see it as an improvement or a failure. With minimal salt. There have definitely been some massive design changes:Tiers are gone, replaced with CPU based matchmaking.Money replaced with Robits, which can be made by recycling items you own.Gameplay pays out Crates instead of money, which contain random items. The tech tree was removed, and you have access to all weapons at any level (if you amass the funds to buy them, or luck out in a crate).Weapons now use "energy" which recharges over time.New Modules offering new combat altering abilities (Shield, Blink, Ghost and Energy Booster)New Weapons have been added at higher rarity. Since they can easily build most designs they find, there's no harm in trying new robots out and different tactics.
I played this game upon release and loved the idea of a tier system and how you got rewarded for playing.
Money money money.I remember those times. I have logged 2,300+ hours into Robocraft. Why did the developers start and continue down the path they took?
It was simple, but fun, and imo, all they had to do was expand on the core of the game, not alter it completely. It's been awhile since I've played the game, but I do keep up to date with whats going on. The way they could make more people interested is by adding more maps, weapons, movement types, game modes, shapes, and anything, basically.
Gameplay pays out Crates instead of money, which contain random items. They looked cool and were precise. How excited I was when I found this game. I hope they understand how beloved the original game was and are cognizant of what they did wrong. The battle royale spin off died before it even launched lol.My current opinion on RC: Great Game boring Gameplay. game dies slowly and they turned the code into some spaghetti mess.
It was simple, but addicting. But then the devs thought that they can take the game the direction they wanted and players will follow because there isn't a better alternative. To simplify, they saw a successful game and said, fuck it.
I loved anxiously cowering behind a rock in my battle-worn noobish SMG cruiser while a Nano hover was scurrying its way over. The Awesome Soul 9,705 views. The Awesome Soul.
Yes, they have made a lot of improvements. I still haven't given up hope on the game, FJ has done some wonderful things in the past with this game, and I'm hoping they'll turn the game back to the free to play powerhouse that it used to be, but you would be naive to say that the game has gotten better over the years. New weapon types, making the grind easier (and then making it harder in a never ending loop lol), new movement types, letting you color your bots without sacrificing armor capabilities, all of those were good things. I just can't come to see any benefit from the changes the developers have made over the years. I don't need to be getting shitty low tier plasma cannons and tetras when I play with the end game content. Freejam, one step forward six steps back.P.s. The game failed because devs were afraid to be different. If you own the parts, it costs nothing to try out someone else's design.Notably though, the game is probably less "Pay to Win" than before. 9.4k members in the Robocraft community. What happened to Robocraft? But the old robocraft was a lot of fun. devs abandon game to make new robocraft because cant fix old game.
