I really enjoy this film and am very happy I have it in my collection again. This is a much different role for Jack Nicolson in many ways.

The first was that the otherwise exceptional Cate Blanchett could indeed fool all the people all the time and win for the most overrated performance since Roberto Benigni in The Heft Factor is timeless in Oscar deliberations, its most notorious manifestation in recent times being a little more than 30 years ago when Your donation keeps this site free and open for all to read. Anyway I decided to open it and other unopened DVD,s to watch. Heart wrenching, and heart warming, awkward moments from Jack Nicholson's character but so well balanced out with probably one of Helen Hunt's best performances. The title of the movie definitely represents the calibre of this movie. Nicholson is awesome in his role as..... well every role he plays, he just plays himself, but he's encapsulating, he's charming, he's funny, and he's very rude. One of my favorites. Today (apr 1,2020) I am changing the rating of the movie to 4 stars. They contend they were acting under orders. Incredibly funny romantic comedy. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 17, 2014 Blu-ray transfer is very good (not excellent but good enough; or as you might say "as good as it gets").
