The beach is beautiful and our camp ground was quiet, peaceful and level other than the bugs.

We were here in the fall, so we didn't need 50 amp for AC; in the summer, 50 amp is an absolute necessity to keep the coach comfortable and I know we wouldn't be comfortable here in the summertime. Very friendly staff as well as other residents. The entrance road and the skimpy basic amenities just left a bad taste in our mouths.this campground has Beautiful views on Maryland's Eastern Coast.

My only complaint about this campground were the rumblings from the regulars and the camp staff that the water quality in this area of the Chesapeake was poor.

But it seems stuck in the 60s, which is when I imagine it was laid-out and built. We’d be glad to stay there again!This campground is an Enigma. I decided to check it out by launching from the docks […] Assateague State Park makes up the northern part of Assateague Island and is run by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, not to be confused with the National Seashore farther south on the island. Of course I had no code to get in so I took a chance and pressed the # key and magically somebody buzzed us in and the arm lifted up.

Unfortunately it is not possible to be close to the beach and the bathrooms. Sunsets were glorious!! very small campground.

Trot Lining on the Nanticoke River 812jellybean. we already booked for next year!Basic camping services with larger that average sites, bare bones restrooms, but clean, no WiFi or swimming pools here, but you do have the pristine Nanticoke River, fantastic fishing from the beach, pier or your boat, awesome crabbing, swimming from the beach, pleasant, friendly staff and fellow campers. They got the task accomplished with a smile. A positive is that the sites might be the widest I've even seen in a campground.

All sites are back in--I didn't have a problem with my 37 foot motorhome but anything longer might have found it tough or impossible to back in or pull out.

Don't let the listings fool you: there are only two sites with 50 amp electrical service and they do not have a sewer connection. While inland, the river offers boating opportunities and the park’s marina has boat slips.

Make sure you call ahead to stay at this campground as they are usually busy and it is a safe gated location.

The park has a tire playground, a challenge course and zipline, a disc-golf course, plus 20 miles (32 km) of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The campsites are located under pine trees right by the Nanticoke River as it flows into the Located in the central part of the Eastern Shore, outside of Queen Anne, Maryland, Tuckahoe State Park is the perfect place for a family getaway. 2. The beach is beautiful and you can walk out to the actual roaring point.

While the camping spots are a bit sparse for cover many offer water, sewer and electricity and are all larger than average as they boast on their website. The bathrooms, while cleaned regularly are very tired and the bathroom stalls and showers could use a complete rebuild. We stayed during mid- Oct and it was very chilly ( in the 50's) but in the summer you can swim in the river.

It looks like at least 75% of the units are seasonal, so there is not a lot space for folks who can't make a large commitment. The campground offers 54 sites, 33 of which have electrical hookups, hot showers and flush toilets.For camping that’s a little less conventional, but still scenic and fun, check out the Frontier Town Campground.

The campground office is open when it is open, apparently in disregard of posted hours. The facilities at Sandy Hill Family Camp are designed with your family’s enjoyment and relaxation in mind! I'm no fan of campground Wi-Fi, but the closest AT&T tower is too far away to provide any kind of data service.

These days, not having adequate cell service (which is not the fault of the campground) AND no Wi-Fi makes this a place that just does not suit our needs. We paid $45 per night for our stay. The park offers camping on the Maryland side of the island, with campsites right on the beach that are both walk-in and drive-in. But the campgound is small and designed for RVs of a different era. Each site includes 30 amp electric service and water, plus picnic tables and campfire rings.

If you love fishing though this is your paradise found! When we arrived we were a bit perplexed by the entry into the campground; while there is a sign at the main road once you get to the actual gate there is nothing just an arm and a keypad. ...
