Watched this online last night…...relative to much of what I have watched online with Netflix, this was a pretty good movie, all in all.

The camera also tends to drift a great deal, as if someone left the cart in neutral and it started rolling away but they kept on filming anyway.

I'll take a tip from you earlier reviewers and sample a Barry Eisler novel. Rain Fall, like the meteorological event of its namesake, came and went with little fanfare when it was released. go. Movies.

The synopsis of this movie's source novel, "A Clean Kill in Tokyo" (2002) by Barry Eisler, which had been previously published as "Rain Fall", reads on Eisler's personal website as: "Half American, half Japanese, expert in both worlds but at home in neither, John Rain is the best killer money can buy.

As casualties mount by the day, the resistance and their unexpected allies, uncover a plot that could see the war come to a decisive end.

Watching the film I couldn't help seeing nearly every segment as yet another sad attempt at recapturing the thrills, twists, relationships, etc. If you're a fan of the Barry Eisler Rain novels, do yourself a favor and don't watch this.

Amazon. This movie is a lesson on how to not make a movie. Gary Oldman makes twitchy work playing William Holtzer, the unsavoury and corrupt Token CIA station chief. I felt embarrassed for Gary Oldman playing this cardboard cut-out of the Chris Cooper's 'Conklin' character. He barks orders like he's in a Bourne film, bends rules and is a morally blank, ruthless A-hole.

Additionally every actor in not fully in frame, from mid-forehead up is completely cut off in virtually every shot, and I can't explain why and it's really annoying.

No need to waste time endlessly browsing—here's the entire lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month. I had to give up 35 min into the movie because the camera-work was so bad I couldn't stand it anymore.

I'm so deeply into Martin Cruz Smith's 'Arkady Renko' novels (again!) This movie is everything the novels are not: boring, full of plot holes, seriously lame fight scenes and a story line that makes little or no sense.

Not being familiar with the novel upon which this movie is based, nor with the author in general, it was with a clean slate and no expectations that I sat down to watch "Rain Fall".

15 out of 21 found this helpful This might be the reason why the movie got so many negative reviews from viewers, while movie critics took a more differentiated approach and found more aspects that were positive. In this film the camera seems to have ADD in a bad way, every second or two there is a cut, sometimes to another character, sometimes to an object being handles, sometimes to completely random points in the room.

"Rain Fall" seems to have been trimmed to fit a Japanese audience, as the story basically shows an America, which tries to gain power over Japan and its economy through blackmailing. Gary Oldman is in this movie and it was released a year ago and has only 78 ratings and no review yet? Well I just watched it, had a pretty enjoyable experience, and felt it needed at least one review here.
