good pair of visegrips, new bleeder valves from a local parts store and deff soak in pb blaster, if you dont want to go through all that and its not leaking bleed it where the brake hose attaches to the caliper the same way you would if it were a bleeder screw
any questions, lemme know. Then the part linked below is threaded in place of the bleeder. Many bleeder screws are made of brass or soft metal, and corners will strip, or the screw will break easily. Many cars have a specific brake bleeding sequence or process.
reset shoes into cylinder and make sure nothing else has slipped out of place (eg, parking brake cross bar and spring).
Do not break the Ez-Out.
Re: My bleeder valve is stripped and the assembly is so...
Made me laugh) Welding a screw into the bleeder valve's hole, then 'unscrewing' it with that; Brake bleeder wrench / Line nut wrench; There might have been a few more that I'm forgetting but, this was the jist of ideas. Your answer needs to include more details to help people. You can't post answers that contain an email address. The email address entered is already associated to an account. If the screw will still not move, skip to step four.If the screw breaks at any point in the process, or is already broken, use a small Ez-Out or similar screw extractor to remove the broken bleeder. Most likely your brake hose has collapsed inside. If it comes out hard with the bleeder off then just change the bleeder, if not then it will be the hose. I am pretty certain I have a solution, however I would love to hear from someone who has actually done it themselves and had success (if that person is out there) thanks!

It may also just be a bad bleeder valve, unscrew it all the way out and fluid should run out, especially when the pedal is applied. remove upper shoe return springs, loosen but do not remove brake line using line wrench, remove 2 bolts holding cylinder. Dorman offers a line of brake bleeder repair kits to repair stripped-out bleeder screws on a caliper. remove line from cylinder and pull out of housing. 8 Posts . If the Ez-Out comes out of the bleeder when turned, tap it back in more firmly, and attempt again.
Make sure that the new grooves are deep enough to accommodate a flat screwdriver.Heat the area of the stripped valve with a blowtorch. So any force you apply to it with a socket can cause the bleeder screw to collapse. Anyone ever seen or heard of a stripped bleeder valve? some of these are tight and need more effort to loosen and sometimes you have to heat the area around the bleeder screw with a torch to loosen the bleeder. Even if the screw will tighten a little bit, it will free it from the rust, and make it possible to loosen it. If the stripped valve is on one of the front wheels, turn the steering wheel away from the side of the affected valve, to gain better access to the caliper bolts.Remove the caliper bolts on the side of the caliper.
Tap the handle of the screwdriver to ensure that the blade is fully seated into the groove. fill resovior 2.)
A stripped bleeder valve will make break pad replacement difficult and brake fluid changing even more so.
repeat steps 6. :frownthre Wanted to hook up the mityvac to change the front brake fluid after changing the disc and pads and after the 1st turn, the valve stripped.
This means if brake fluid is more than two years old, brake bleeders and other components can become stuck because of rust. Posted by angel4eva785 on Sep 07, 2011. open bleeder valve on slave, if fluid starts to run out then let it run for 8 to 10 min (all the while keeping an eye on the resovior fluid level, making sure it stays relitivly full.)
Look at its condition, if it's Clear and nothing is floating in the fluid and the brake is high and firm when depressed, it would be best to leave it alone. Screw extractors are made of very hard metal, and if broken it will be nearly impossible to remove the screw. A stripped bleeder valve will make break pad replacement difficult and brake fluid changing even more so.
